CB OC CB
This week came back for SOC test, all feeling very sian, other people NDP off. After the test, our platoon were called to go for more SOC trainnings at various stations we are weak in. Ok nevermind, after we endure all the trainings, got all the rope burns, cuts and bruises, my PC ask us to run back to company in SBO, helmet and rifle. He added if anyone behind him, carry on 30x. Fuck lar, all just run any time drop dead.
That afternoon was told to go Padang to take photo with CO at 1545 in the free red shirt. As the previous day notice to bring red shirt was too late, many did not bring the free red hang ten shirt. CSM told the rest without red shirt, to go buy 1 before the photo taking and not to be late. After book out, left for home rested 1hr before go Padang. So many people squeeze 1 stage, can't even see our faces lar. CSM say nights off till 2359 or report camp next morning, so went back home after that
Around 8pm++ received a call by COS, all come back camp by 2300 as tomorrow got battalion. KNN last minute changes, lan lan all kpkb book in.

After run all sibei shag and fucking dulanz with OC and CSM, even regulars buey song. Had to do vehicle maintenace, 20++ unimogs around 10 people only, no time bathe yet. After veh maintenace change CV wait for book out, to go Marina South for carnival. Before we left, OC say want to talk to us.
She apologised for recalling the whole company, while other company never book in. She said was informed last minute by S4 and decided to be loyal recalled us, claimed it wasn't her fault to call us back. Seems apologetic and almost cried PUI !!! (Shed crocodile tears). How can the man, specs regulars respect this undecisive Captain.
Then say outing to Marina this afternoon cancelled. (CB we all pack no4 bedsheet, you now ask me change back i kill you). Div Comd say go this Sunday morning. So Sunday morning burn lar. OC say give off this Friday to make up for both issues. We booked out after that.
CSM said all to report at Marina by 1030 and proper attire of jeans , shoes and shirts with not all go back kana by him. This morning go Marina 1030, reached the desired area, saw no commanders. Only present were our platoon and laojiaos. Finally received a call to meet another place. Reached there, saw PCs, PSes and CSM no OC. Told to hang around for a show later. SO we decided to go eat as some of us did not have breakfast. Slacked for around 1h, show cancelled all can go back. KNNBCCB

Dear CAF (Chief Of Air Force) MG LIM KC,
I am part of the Air Force marching contigent for NDP 2005 and have been burning numerous saturday to be DRILLED TO PERFECTION. I am very proud to be arrowed for this once a year event celebrating our Nation Independence although I was most unwilling in the beginning because I have to spend an entire Saturday morning to afternoon dedicated to the event. However, my base RSM have assured me that we will all feel very proud when we march at the Padang on the 9th of August. RSM say the feeling on the actual day is like having an Orgasm....
However, sir, it have never failed me to realise how damn "Buay Song" I am with the Rehearsal organizing committee! I have been to Nee Soon camp for don't know how many bloody saturday when we were told to get there early and ending up having to wait and wait and wait. Whats the bloody point of telling us to reach Paya Lebar Air Base at 10.30am to have a god damn early lunch, draw our SAR21 drill rifle at 11.00, take a private bus to Nee Soon camp and end up having to sit till our butt grow pimple before the actual parade rehearsal starts at 1.30 ~ 2pm? Everyone reach there at 12.30 leh...... so "Efficient". Rush to wait and wait to rush attitude again?
Sir, actually can make the timing "zun zun" so that the moment we reach Nee Soon camp, we can immediately get DRILLED after 5min of rest. SAF must be a Efficient fighting force mah, simple thing like the timing should get it correct what? Otherwise we sit there lobo 1 hr not only waste our bloody weekend time but also tax payer money leh! I love to be DRILLED but I hate to wait man!
Than hor, sir I want to highlight this very very big issue that is affecting the morale of the Air Force supporting contigent. We use to have comfortable private bus to fetch us from Paya Lebar Air Base to Nee Soon camp and vice versa. I remember on one of the rehearsal the Parade commander say that Singapore economy this year "Eat Grass" and NDP will have to cut budget but quality will be still there, I thought this is not my problem. Bloody Hell, the next few parade rehearsal we end up having old SBS bus picking us up! Sir, you never take public transport before (and never will) you never know how inadequte is the leg space on SBS Bus is. Our knees are literally pressing on the back of the seat in front of us, not to mention the SAR21 rifle taking away some of the leg space too. I think only Frodo or Yoda will find the seat comfortable. Man.... this not only affect morale but also affect out knee cap leh. Sir, I know you seldom or maybe have never been DRILLED in life but you must know our knee cap very precious one leh! Wait cannot march how? Somemore normal days still have to do Aircraft work leh. I think SAF should give the private bus company a chance lah.... nowadays government almost monopolise the transport market till private bus company "Pai Tan Jia", we should just give private bus a go. Win win situation mah, help them earn money and boost the economy and also help to boost our morale!
Lastly ah Sir, I want to complain one last thing. After going through 2-3 round of parade rehearsal at Nee Soon camp, its time to go home. Ka ni na, we all very good soldier....report for parade sharply but when its time to go home keep on dragging and dragging....the bus keep on coming late...sometime have to wait Bloody 2 hrs long! Where got such thing one SIR? Its like lending money right? I lend you money, you return me promptly than next time I will be willing to lend you again mah..... Don't keep us back too late next time ok?
Thank you sir for reading my letter. Hope you don't feel offended by the way I write cause I only diploma engineering and only a 2nd Sar-Germ. If I knew earlier on huh, I would have study very very very hard, go university, get an SAF scholarship and end up working with you up there with gold bar, gold crab and gold star. Happy 40th Birthday Singapore, another phase of army
This National Day, Singaporeans celebrate the nation's 40th birthday and independence. Whats is so special from other NDP parades, is i am involved hahaha, its at padang which could only happen once every 5 yrs, mobile column, showzones and celebrations at the Heartlands.
I know many Singaporeans took photos of the mobile column since the first reharsal at Padang till NDP. I couldn't find pictures of the mobile column or Signal formation on the internet, mostly pictures of fireworks. As this serves as an a memory i will never forget, I hope anybody could maybe upload all the mobile column pics online, link me to their websites or send me. Would be grateful for any pics received thanks and enjoy the holidays.
Everyone waited patiently for the day to begin.

For today, soldiers were treated like superstars, people were waving, cheering and dancing along the roads all the way to Tampines. Best part, little kids saluting us what a sight.
Reached Tampines, it was already crowded with lots of people mainly kids, really people mountain people seas. Crowds started from Tampines Stadium to end of showzone. Our showzone holding area was somewhere near the library. We had 2 showzones, meaning had to perform twice. The second showzone was nearer to the VIP area. After showzone, headed to Selarang camp and then back to Jurong.
Reached Jurong around 2300. Sent arms, bath, pack bags, Lan Jiao party suggestion by OC by the time book out already 0130. Shared taxi with eric, guan dao and kok hong. Reached home around 0200.
All the past few months of reharsals at Tuas, 30 SCE and Padang is the 101% effort we put in for yesterday. Our endless weekends burnt, vehicles preparation, precision drills and coordinations is the show for all to see. I felt very happy to be part of this year NDP and in mobile column. Initialy all of us complained why we had to be involved, burn weekends still got UIP, go Tuas so ulu and hot. As we move to Padang, things were alittle better. At the end, being in NDP was not too bad being 1 day of Superstar.
After NDP the tempo will change and focus would be on UIP and the upcoming major ex, so fast 1 year in service. 18th Aug 2005 would be my 1yr anniversary hahah.
Still remember after poly go Thailand, play soccer, enjoy life then NS. Got the green letter from CMPB. Under the XXX enlistment act, you are to report to Pulau Tekong Besar for your XXX, on 18 Aug at 1500, XXXXX. The week before cannot sleep, every night cry (who say boys cannot cry of cos mah dunno wats e life inside, heard all the sadistic tekans). My mum, uncles and grandmother sent me off. First 2 weeks cannot adapt.

New monitor
Today met Garrad, Benson, Alvin, Si Yan and Daniel at Bishan as they wanted to get some magic cards. Reached there, lost my way Bishan changed so much. The area was under construction, many of us lost our way. We spent around 2hs before leaving for SLS.
Reached SLS before Kai, wondered whether to get LCD or CRT monitor. CRT is cheaper and good but bulky. LCD is more expensive but lught and stylish. Couldn't decide my mind until i passed by Bliss. They had a display of LCDs monitors, Samsung and Philips. They were playing Fifa2005, the quality looked like shit. The salesperson explained the reason, and recommended a Philips model to my preference. Somehow psycho and don't wish to go back empty handed bought a Philips 17" LCD monitor. This guy is very good at doing business, guess he also a gamer. It cost me $499, free DVI cable worth $69, free NTUC voucher for my mum worth $30. I decided to buy it because of the Philips lightframe, 3 years warranty and 0 spots, even during the time of 3 yrs, they can do 1 - 1 exchange. Thats a clever way to do business, since mostly people go for Samsung LCDs, which are good and stylish.
Had dinner at Long John, went back to test my new monitor and new game, Guildwars, which Kai psycho me. This month pay gone already.

FUCKED UP OC
This Saturday no reharsal.
Monday actual showzone at Heartlands reharsal at Tampines. At night another reharsal in camp.
You can see me live, camou on, pointing Sar21 at you on NDP day at Tampines. Look out for Signal Formation, last vehicle.
This week got SOC training, got status until 8th Aug so be marshalers. On the average everyone did twice SHIONG !!! By the time they reached finishing point, their No4 were so wet as though they finished swimming. Afternoon, got SAF NDP parade drills for Monday conducted by CSM. Very few people participated and lasted for 2 long hours. Thursday morning got 8km Battalion run, noon got a final recce at Kallang. 2 commericial coaches fetched us to Kallang, where we were divided into East, Central and West. We took another coach for the recce trip from Padang to Tampines. Friday morning got 1 ex for drivers and VCs on recovery drills.
As this week no reharsal, our offs cancelled, so friday book out. We were able to take half day off on Friday, as most of us are sick of here. Around half the platoon of man took off. Supposed to go back company as 2ICs are redundant in the ex, however my PS arrowed me to replace a VC for the recovery ex.
Our half day off were not confirmed. Heard lots of rumours, either off not approve, or off approve butlet the whole company book out early. Our 3 days off for 10, 11,12 are gone CCB !!! Supposedly 10 is BN off, 11 is off for 30 July , 12 is NDP off. CCB burn so many weekends put in so much effort only give 1 day off for NDP !!!
The fucked up OC changed to 11 SOC test, 12 BN cohesion day, means playing stupid games. Upon hearing these news, even the laojiaos also hate her, don't know how to protect her men.
Rumours CO don't like our OC, so indirectly don't like us, thus so many sai gangs.
